The Lip Suede Matte Lipstick ($50; sephora.com) is a new addition to the Westman Atelier lip lineup. It's a smooth, satin matte lipstick with a lightweight feel that comes in ten shades. The weighty magnetic packaging is beautiful and the embossing on the lipstick looks fabulous as well. Le Rouge is a bright, saturated red that goes on silky smooth. The texture is wonderful, light and more of a satin matte that doesn't really set. The color is flattering on most skin tones and the formula stays on well when paired with a lip liner since the softer texture tends to feather quite a bit. While I cannot speak for the other shades in the line, Le Rouge is quite long-wearing and leaves a bright stain behind. The formula is moisturizing and feels better with a lip balm underneath. Overall, a very luxuriously formulated lipstick in a clean formula that can be worn both as a stain or as a full saturated lip color. Checkout this reel for a closer look at the swatch in daylight.
