Laura Mercier recently launched their new Caviar Tightline Eyeliners ($28; lauramercier.com) and a reformulated version of the Caviar Stick Eyeshadow Mattes ($32; lauramercier.com) .
The Caviar Tightline Eyeliner formula is a smooth gel pencil that is pigment packed and glides effortlessly. I tried two colors from the range - Cocoa and Bleu Marine. Bleu Marine is a matte, true navy that looks gorgeous when smoked out and Cocoa is a basic brown, and a softer alternative to black that looks nice on the lash and waterline as well. Bleu Marine is also a rather nice shade to add a pop of color on the lower lash line for anyone who likes some color, but not something too bright. The formula is waterproof and also sets quickly. It does come off well with a makeup cleansing oil or balm. The Caviar Stick Eyeshadow Matte is also new and a reformulated version that now comes in additional colors and in an improved formula. The formula is budge-proof, smooth and great for quick looks that can be done effortlessly in a few minutes. Similar to the Caviar Liners, these too set quickly and will have to be worked with quickly, but on the plus side, they are waterproof and look great alone or as an eyeshadow base.
