The Eye Love You Clean Kohl Eyeliner Pencil ($34; sephora.com) is a new launch from Westman Atelier, a smokey, soft, smudgeable eyeliner that comes in two shades. Kohl Brun is a soft, mid-tone brown while Khol Noir is a deep, dark black. The wooden pencils are a clean formula, formulated with jojoba oil and shea butter for a smooth application. I love the texture of these, they go on effortlessly and don’t really set, which makes them easy to smudge out. The pigmentation is great and perfect for a quick smokey eye. Kohl Brun is a great alternative to black and perfect for the lashlines, while Khol Noir is a dark black that looks great on the lash and waterline. Since these aren't waterproof, they do tend to move around a little bit on the waterline, but on the lash lines, they wear longer and are very forgiving to mistakes. They do remind me a lot of the Laura Mercier Kohl pencils, but these did not need to be warmed up too much before application. Overall, I’d recommend these if you like kohl pencils that are quick and easy to use and like the smudgy kohl look (which I love!). I’m hoping Westman Atelier expands the shade range in the future to include more metallics and softer greys and blues!
