The Balinese Coconut Perfume Oil ($98; sephora.com) is a new launch from NEST, a gorgeous, fresh gourmand fragrance with notes of creamy coconut, tropical tiare blossom and salted musk. The perfume oil is a concentrated, long wearing oil that is perfect for the spring-summer season. I have had great luck with the longevity of NEST perfume oils in the past and this one is no exception. The opening is very creamy, soft and airy. I mostly smell the creamy coconuts and florals. Although not heady, the floral scent is quite strong, but blends with the warmth from the coconut very well. The musk is more prominent when the scent dries down and adds a sophisticated touch, toning down the sweetness just a little bit. This fragrance to me is a delicious mix of fresh tropical and gourmand. NEST has used an exquisite coconut essence in a blend of luxurious baobab oil to formulate this making it a long wearing scent. It also makes for a fabulous Mother’s Day gift for anyone who loves their fragrances.
