Recent Skin And Haircare Discoveries From First Aid Beauty

A quick roundup of some recent discoveries from First Aid Beauty that I have been testing all summer. Being one of my favorite brands for sensitive and dry skin, I have never tried a bad product from FAB. The Anti-Dandruff Shampoo with 1% Pyrithione Zinc (ZPT) ($30; sephora.com) is a fabulous shampoo for a drier scalp or anyone with dandruff issues. It calms and treats itchiness and adds a nice shine to dull hair. It is a thicker texture, so a little goes a really long way and helps balance the scalp very well. It is very easy to wash off as well. The Anti Dandruff Scalp Serum ($32; sephora.com) is a 2% salicylic acid serum that treats a flaky scalp and helps with scalp dryness. It also has aloe vera and colloidal oatmeal to help calm the itchiness. The applicator is super easy to use too.



The FAB Pharma Calamine Pore Purging Mask ($30; sephora.com) is a detoxifying mask that helps unclog pores and draws impurities out. It isn’t very drying, but I would recommend a good moisturizer afterwards. It is a quick and easy way to cleanse your pores and I like to use it in the night.



The KP Bump Eraser Body Scrub ($28; sephora.com) and Body Lotion With 10% AHA ($26; ulta.com) are an exfoliating duo if you have texture issues or KP (keratosis pilaris). I don’t have KP, but these exfoliate nicely to just keep skin looking healthy and non-flaky and would be a great addition to any body care routine, come winter. The scrub also has a nice texture that isn’t too harsh or scratchy and exfoliates without over stripping skin. The end result is super smooth textured skin that feels soft to the touch. The Sculpting Body Lotion ($34; sephora.com) is a beautiful body lotion with a smooth texture and even application. While I cannot say I saw a huge difference in cellulite, it really is a nice lotion to use everyday and helps plump skin up nicely without feeling too greasy or sticky. It also has caffeine that helps perk up dull skin and reduces the appearance of puffiness. It is also a great lotion for after sun exposure as it calms skin down and helps soothe dry patches and irritation.
