The L’Absolu Rouge Drama Ink Liquid Lipstick ($28; ulta.com) is a new semi-matte formula from Lancome and comes in 13 gorgeous colors. It's a pigment packed, lightweight, semi matte lipstick with a patented applicator that helps with precise application. I tried three shades from the range and they’re all very easy to work with, apply without tugging or pulling and don’t feel too drying. The texture is thin and very buildable, can be used as a full coverage lipstick or as a light stain. It doesn’t dry to a complete matte finish so not transfer proof, but also doesn’t feel very drying because of that. It lasts a good few hours and the color fades to a stain. It does move around with eating or drinking since the formula doesn’t dry or set completely. I also like the smaller tube and wand that helps with very even application and touch ups without depositing too much product. Overall, if you like semi-matte liquid lipsticks that do not feel drying or overly matte, this is something to check out. I do wish the color range had more nudes and pinks, but if you like berries and reds, there’s quite a few to choose from!
