C’est Moi is a great brand that makes makeup and skincare at affordable prices. I tried a couple of sunscreens - The Sunshine Mineral Sunscreen for Face and Body ($14.99; target.com) and the Gentle Mineral Sunscreen Lotion ($15.99; target.com) from the line and really liked the gentle formula and how nicely it works on sensitive skin. It's a lovely texture too, very smooth, and since these are physical sunscreens, they do leave a whitish cast, but it does absorb into the skin pretty quickly.
The Essence Daily Dose Eyeshadow Palettes ($7.99; ulta.com) are travel friendly eyeshadow palettes from Essence. The pigmentation on these can be built up, but some are more pigmented than the others, especially the metallics. They don’t have a ton of fallout and have a smooth, blendable texture.
The PhotoReady Rose Glow Face Mist ($13.99; ulta.com) is a fabulous makeup setting spray from Revlon. It has a nice fragrance and helps keep my makeup looking dewy and sets everything in place. The formula doesn’t feel tacky and is quite gentle too. The formula is better suited for drier skin types than oily.
The L’Oreal Bambi Oversized Eye Mascara ($9.99; target.com) is a volumizing mascara from L’Oreal that also helps with holding the curl for short, stubby lashes like mine. I love the brush on this one and the formula doesn’t flake or feel crunchy. It also does a good job of lengthening lashes and doesn’t smudge through the day.
The L’Oreal Infallible Pro Pump Gloss ($7.99; target.com) is a pigmented, plumping lip gloss that adds a subtle plumping effect and a ton of shine. The shade range is beautiful and the formula is very moisturizing. I also love the wand and how easy and smooth it is so apply!
The Neutrogena Clarify & Shine Healthy Scalp Scrub with Pink Grapefruit ($9; walmart.com) is an energizing scalp scrub that I like to use as a weekly detox for my scalp in rotation to other treatments. I like to use this when I feel like there’s a bit of product buildup or on days I need a squeaky clean scalp without drying it out too much. It is quite balancing and helps a little bit with controlling the oils too.
The Aveeno Sunflower Oil Blend Shampoo ($6.99; target.com) is a moisturizing shampoo for anyone with dry hair. It is a gentle formula and free of sulfates. I like Aveeno’s range of shampoos - they are fabulous for the price and a great drugstore pick. I would recommend a clarifying shampoo in between uses if you tend to use this regularly since it can leave a bit of a buildup, but that apart, it is a good moisturizing shampoo with a nice ingredients list.
