The Rejuvenating Ferulic Brew Facial Treatment Essence With Lactic Acid ($52; sephora.com) is a new launch from Kiehl’s, an antioxidant-rich facial essence brewed with ferulic and lactic acids for visibly glowing skin. I use this as part of my night time skincare routine, just like any other toner, on a cotton pad and apply it all over my face before my moisturizer/serum. Kiehl’s recommends applying it with your palms and that works well too. It does have a strong, medicinal scent that isn’t too bothersome since it dissipates rather quickly. It doesn't feel sticky and absorbs pretty quickly and leaves a sheer, invisible finish. Its is a combination of Lacitc and Ferulic acid so helps greatly with texture, smoothness and overall radiance of the skin. The squalane in the formula helps with locking in moisture. I use this typically in the night time and follow up with a sunscreen the next day since my skin can get a little sensitive at times. Its great product for anyone looking at adding an exfoliating essence/toner as part of their daily skincare routine. It is gentle enough on the skin, yet powerful enough to get the job done.
