La Vie Est Belle Soleil Cristal ($100; ulta.com) is a new launch for spring-summer from Lancome, a very fresh, warm floral with a creamy dry down. It's a lighter take on iconic La Vie Est Belle and perfect for the warmer days.The notes include Mandarin Orange, Pink Pepper, Bergamot, Ylang-Ylang, Iris, Orange Blossom, Jasmine, Coconut, Vanilla and Patchouli. The bottle design is gorgeous and reflects the fragrance notes perfectly, The fragrance opens up with sweet, fresh notes of Pink Pepper, Mandarin and Bergamot and settles down into a warm, creamy scent with the Vanilla and Coconut becoming more prominent after it dries down. I do get a little whiff of the Jasmine and Patchouli, but it doesn’t feel heady at all. It is more fruity than floral and also much lighter than the original La Vie Est Belle. I’d call this a fun, more youthful take on La Vie Est Belle. It's a great one to wear on a warm summer day when you don’t want anything too intense.
