Musc Noir Eau de Parfum For Her ($128; shop.nordstrom.com) is a new fragrance launch from Narciso Rodriguez, a deep musky yet sensual fruity-floral concoction with notes of plum, heliotrope, musk, suede, white cedar and rose. I have yet to try a Narciso Rodriguez fragrance that I don't like and this one is no exception. It's a gorgeous, year round fragrance for me that combines the sweetness of the plum, the not so heady, yet powdery floral notes from the rose, wrapped in a leathery base. The opening is a nice mix of fruity and floral, but not in a cloying way. It is quite light and the rose balances out the sweetness from the plum, while I get more of the fruity plum during the dry down. The fragrance settles into a very creamy, gourmand like musky scent in a very feminine, sophisticated way. I found this to have great longevity on me and the transparent bottle design looks fabulous. I’d highly recommend checking this out if you like musky compositions with a tinge of a fruity floral element and want something with great longevity to wear all through the year.
