The Lash Idole Mascara ($26; lancome-usa.com) and Idole L’Intense Eau de Parfum ($123; lancome-usa.com) are both new for spring from Lancome that launched earlier this year. Lash Idole is a fabulous mascara for anyone like me with short, stubby lashes. The curved brush is amazing at catching the smallest of lashes, adding both volume and separation with length. I did have to do two coats for a bit of extra volume since I have short lashes to start with, but the formula did not make my lashes crunchy or stiff. I’d definitely recommend this if you want volume, length and separation from a formula that doesn’t smudge or flake through the day. Idole L’Intense is a warm floral fragrance with notes of Rose, Jasmine, Musk, Cedar and Sandalwood, Patchouli and Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla. It's the perfect concoction of heady floral notes with a soft, creamy dry down. Although more of a winter-spring scent, I would wear this all through the year. Idole L'Intense starts off as a slightly heady, fresh floral and dries down to a creamy, warm fragrance with amazing longevity. The patchouli peeks through the dry down, but doesn’t overpower, while the rose keeps it from becoming too strong and sweet. The Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Infusion adds a gourmand touch to the fragrance. I also love the sleek bottle design and would absolutely recommend checking this fragrance out if you like warm, sensual, feminine compositions.
