Genesis is a new range from Kerastase, targeted at dry brittle hair, prone to breakage and helps reduce hair fall. It is great if you have hair that snaps easily and the products help make a difference with regular use. There are two shampoos in the range - the Genesis Strengthening Shampoo for Normal To Oily Hair ($35; sephora.com) and one for Normal To Dry Hair ($35; sephora.com) . My hair is usually oily in the scalp by day 2, and so I liked the normal to oily hair version better than the normal to dry hair. It cleanses beautifully without weighing down, while the normal-dry hair one can weigh down hair a tad.

The Genesis Strengthening Hair Mask ($62; sephora.com) is amazing as a weekly treatment and makes my hair super soft, tangle free and smooth. It is my favorite product from the collection. The Genesis Strengthening Conditioner ($40; sephora.com) is fabulous for days when I don’t use the mask - it's lighter in texture, easy to use and reduces frizz. It also leaves my hair smelling amazing and washes off easily.

The Genesis Scalp Serum ($51; sephora.com) is a lightweight serum that comes with a scalp applicator for easy application. It is a tad perfumed and can be overpowering for sensitive noses, but this is an easy to apply, lightweight serum, although for my hair type, I wouldn’t use this regularly and just skip straight to the styling product. The Genesis Blow Dry Primer ($37; sephora.com)is a pre-styling product that is lightweight, easy to use from the spray bottle and helps protect hair while styling. It does not weigh my hair down and a little goes a really long way with this one.
