The Only One Eau de Parfum Intense ($122; macys.com) is a new launch for spring from Dolce & Gabbana. An Oriental Floral, with notes of Italian Mandarin, Green Apple, Neroli, Orange Blossom, Jasmine, Coconut, Vanilla, Cedar and Cashmere Wood. The bottle is gorgeous and the fragrance itself is a sweet, spicy, crisp concoction with the right hint of floral without being cloyingly sweet. The opening is very light, I mostly get Mandarin, Green Apple and Neroli with a hint of Jasmine. It isn’t too heady, the green apple adds a certain softness and the Jasmine doesn’t overpower the other notes. As the fragrance settles down, the vanilla, cedar, creamy coconut and cashmere wood start to become more prominent, making it a warm, cozy scent. This to me is a perfect transitional scent from winter to spring since it isn’t patchouli heavy like most fall-winter scents, yet has a certain crispness that I could wear all through spring. I also love the longevity of this one and would definitely recommend if you are looking for a sophisticated fragrance to wear this spring!
