New Haircare Finds From Shu Uemura Art Of Hair, ColorProof and Truhair

Some new and exciting luxury haircare finds I’ve discovered in the past few months with quick reviews.

Truhair is a brand new to me and their Frothy Micro-Bubble Exfoliating Shampoo ($26; truhair.com; amazon.com) and Whipped Moisturizing Nao-Encapsulated Creamy Conditioner ($26; truhair.com; amazon.com) are made from clean ingredients. Frothy is a clarifying, scalp exfoliating shampoo that cleanses without stripping. I loved how the shampoo left my hair balanced, bouncy and super clean while Whipped is a super creamy conditioner that detangles, smoothes and keeps my hair very manageable and a perfect one to use after Frothy.

The Muroto Volume Haircare Range is a new launch from Shu Uemura Art of Hair and a fabulous range for anyone wanting lightweight hydration. The Shampoo ($48; shuuemuraartofhair-usa.com) is volumizing without drying and the Conditioner ($58; shuuemuraartofhair-usa.com) is more like a thicker lotion that helps with adding moisture without weighing hair too much. The Muroto Volume Hair Mask ($68; shuuemuraartofhair-usa.com) is a deep conditioning mask that I like to use once a week, but this one is one of the more lighter masks I’ve used that doesn’t cause product build up. The Muroto Volume Hydro-Texturizing Hair Mist ($39; shuuemuraartofhair-usa.com) is a styling product that works better while air drying and a little goes a really long way with this one as overdoing can cause the ends to feel a bit stiff. That apart, a good range for anyone wanting volumizing hydration without the heaviness from moisturizing hair care.

The Shu Uemura Art Of Hair Essence Absolue All-In-Oil Hair Milk ($46; shuuemuraartofhair-usa.com) is a perfect styling product in the form of a milky oil that helps add great shine, conditions and controls frizz. It smells amazing and the scent lingers around for a while. I absolutely love this one since my hair is fine, but frizzy and it adds a lot of movement and bounce while defining my natural waves. I also did notice that it speeds up drying time and never feels greasy or oily. Definitely a luxurious styling product that I can see working on all hair types except very thick.

ColorProof is another brand that is new to me and the SuperSheer range is a clean formula that is free of fragrance, dyes, sulfates, silicones and contains natural bioactives. The Shampoo and Conditioner ($32; Colorproof.com) are super gentle and one of the mildest I have tried, while they also cleanse and condition beautifully without any kind of product buildup. This range is also safe on color treated hair and is gentle enough for use everyday, but also great if you are like me and don’t wash your hair everyday since the formula does keep your scalp balanced without leaving it too oily.
