Some new, great under $20 finds that I've recently tried, tested!
Catrice Dark Glow Lip Glow ($5.99; ulta.com) is a fabulous color changing balm. It looks dark in the tube, but turns up to be a bright, cheerful pink on my lips. It feels great on the lips, is very moisturizing and the color stays on like a stain even after the product fades.
Maui Moisture is one of my favorite haircare ranges from the drugstore, the products are great for the price point. The Heal & Hydrate+ Shea Butter line ($8.99; ulta.com) is a great range for anyone with dry, frizzy hair. Its a very moisturizing range - the shampoo is concentrated and rich, the conditioner is perfect with the shampoo, but not needed if you use the shampoo since it is by itself very smoothening. The Detangle Leave-in is a perfect leave in conditioner if you want to air dry. It also works on dry hair to smoothen the flyways. There is also a mask in their range which is fabulous, but more on that in another post.
The La Roche Posay Lipikar Balm AP+i ($19.99; laroche-posay.us) is a rich, super moisturizing body and face balm for the winter. It absorbs quickly and adds a good deal of moisture without the stickiness. It is fragrance free, sensitive skin safe and also great for adults and children.
The Stelatopia Emollient Face Cream ($13.50; mustelausa.com) and Soothing Moisturizing Face Cream ($11.59; target.com) are two products from Mustela that I am using on myself and my toddler. The Stelatopia Emollient Face Cream especially is so amazing, I wish it came in a bigger size so I can use it as a body cream as well. It took care of dry patches in a couple of uses and keeps skin super soft. The Soothing Moisturizing cream is a lighter version that is great for the warmer weather.
The Holiday Love Folding Pop-Up Brush With Mirror ($3.47; shop.oliviagarden.com) is a cute little stocking stuffer from Olivia Garden. Its from their holiday collection and folds up taking up hardly any space in your purse. It comes in two colors - rose and bronze and is very functional for on to go.
The Quenching Mineral Mask ($20; vichyusa.com) is a lightweight moisturizing mask from Vichy. I like to use this like a night cream maybe once or twice a week. I leave on a thicker layer for a few minutes and massage in the excess. It feels a little sticky at first, but absorbs really well. A lightweight cooling/moisturizing gel mask that is perfect for anytime of the year.
The Splat Midnight Indigo ($7.99; target.com) is a fun new hair color that lasts 30 washes and is easy to use for a beginner. I don’t color my hair and this was quite fun to try out. While I did not go full on blue, I did a few streaks here and there to add a fun touch. My hair is very dark and this gave a very subtle blue tone that was visible under certain lights. I also had to keep it on longer than usual for my dark hair. If you have lighter hair, this will be a more vibrant blue on you.
Berry Fancy and Oh So Lava-ly ($7.99; ulta.com) are two gorgeous reds from Sally Hansen and perfect for the holiday season. I love a good red/burgundy anytime of the year. The Complete Salon Manicure line has a gel-like finish and lasts a good 2-3 days on my nails with a bit of tip wear.
