The Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream ($58; sephora.com) is a new moisturizing cream by Youth To The People. The brand has a small, but well-edited skincare line and this newest innovation is deeply moisturizing, calming and comes formulated with clean ingredients free of silicones, parabens and formaldehyde-releasing agents to name a few. The formula contains a mix of adaptogenic herbs like ashwagandha, rhodiola, reishi and holy basil. I don’t really detect much of a fragrance, but it feels light in consistency, absorbs quickly and layers great under makeup. The packaging in a glass jar is great and the formula is indeed truly moisturizing and feels like nothing on the skin. There’s a calming effect that I have seen after a few uses and it keeps dryness on my cheeks and forehead in check. It is also a good one to use the next day after using something strong like AHA’s or BHA’s since the calming effect combined with the moisturizing properties really help. Overall, definitely another great buy for anyone with dryness issues in general and sensitive skin too.
