Macy’s Beauty Box ($15; macys.com) is a monthly subscription box that comes with deluxe sizes of beauty, skincare and fragrance in a beautiful makeup bag. I got to try out the August Box, which focuses on skincare and a couple of makeup bits. Like any other subscription box, its a good way to try out a few good products before splurging on a full size since most of these are mid-high end picks. Here’s whats’s in the August Box.
It Cosmetics Confidence In An Eye Cream - A good, basic eye cream for anyone in their 20’s or 30’s. Origins Clear Improvement Charcoal Honey Mask is a purifying mask that also moisturizes and does't dry skin out too much. Urban Decay’s All Nighter is one of my favorite setting sprays that I just discovered this summer and still loving. Lancome L’Absolu Lip Lacquer in Be Unique is a shiny, moisturizing lip lacquer. The color isn’t the best for my skin tone, but its a good way to try the product , even though the sample is pretty small. The TonyMoly Master Lab Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Sheet Mask is something I have yet to use, which does sound like a good hydrating mask to me. I would have preferred something else instead of the fragrance sample, since those come free with most beauty purchases anyways. That apart, everything is a good size and while I can't speak for the other months, I think the August Box is a good value for what you pay.
