Cartier La Panthère Eau de Toilette ($120; shop.nordstrom.com) is a new Chypre Floral fragrance that just came out this Spring. Its a very fresh, slightly heady, mildly sweet fragrance with great longevity. The notes include Bergamot, Grapefruit, Gardenia, Jasmine, Lily Of The Valley, Pear, Pineapple, Rose, Musk, Sandalwood, Patchouli and Leather. The opening is slightly heady, more floral than sweet with notes of Jasmine, Lily and Bergamot being the most obvious. The softer, more sweeter notes kick in as the perfume settles down, bringing out the pineapple, pear and a hint of rose. The dry down is mostly patchouli, leather and warm, cozy notes of Sandalwood and Musk. Overall, although very similar to the EDP, this one definitely is quite sweeter and fresh - perfect for spring though fall!
