One Step Prime ($36; sephora.com) by Stila is a lightweight serum-primer that preps, smooths and nourishes skin before makeup. It is fragrance free and feels super light, yet moisturizing on the skin. It does have silicones, but lacks too much of the slip that we get from most silicone primes and I love that. I prefer a non-slippery, non sticky and nourishing base and this one is just that. My skin leans pretty dry this time of the year and this one is a great primer for under lightweight bases too. While I cannot say this completely blurs out my pores and fills in my lines, it sure does prep skin well, makes it plump looking and evens it out making it look very healthy. I also love the packaging and the pump dispenses just what you need so there’s no wastage. Overall, definitely one I’d recommend if you have combination-dry skin and want something that feels more moisturizing and feels like a lightweight skincare product.
