Some new skincare launches I’m currently loving from Honest Beauty, REN, Dermalogica & More!
The StriVectin Active Infusion Youth Serum ($89; ulta.com) is a fantastic serum. It brightens, evens out skin tone, texture and adds a lot of suppleness. The scent can be a tad off and can take some getting used to, but that apart it is a great anti aging serum for day or night!
The Honest Beauty Everything Organic Facial Oil ($55; honestbeauty.com) is a new Facial Oil with a blend of Olive, Sunflower, Apricot, Jojoba, Lavender and Chia to name a few. Its a lovely, lightweight oil that can be layered under skincare or alone if you have dry-normal skin. The packaging is beautiful and the texture is lightweight and quick absorbing. Unlike most oils, this one comes in a travel friendly little pot and leaves my skin feeling super soft, very balanced and bright with zero greasiness. The scent although a tad strong, is very calming.
The Revitalizing Eye Cream ($92; malingoetz.com) is new from Malin + Goetz. It is nice for the daytime if you don’t like anything too heavy and layers well under makeup. I love the texture since it sinks in instantly and does not leave any kind of a residue behind. Overall, good if you are looking for something moisturizing during the warmer months.
The Evercalm Ultra Comforting Rescue Mask ($38; sephora.com) is new from REN, a new calming, moisturizing mask for dry, sensitive skin. Evercalm is one of my favorite lines from REN and this one is a quick to use, calming, soothing mask that I like post shower or after makeup removal when skin can feel a tad more sensitive.
The Daily Superfoliant by Dermalogica ($58; dermalogica.com) is a powerful exfoliant that I like about 2-3 times a week or anytime my skin feels particularly congested and dull. Its a powder that gets activated upon contact with water and works to get rid of gunk, unclogs pores and leaves complexion feeling bright and smooth. It can be a tad too much for everyday use, but good for when you want a quick detox for your skin.
Drops Of Youth Youth Liquid Peel ($32; thebodyshop.com) is a liquid-gel facial peel by The Body Shop. It works to get rid of dead skin and evens out skin texture, while exfoliating. To use, I just massage a little bit onto the skin until it starts to ball up, leave it for a few seconds and wash off. The product transforms to a gel and picks up a lot of dry skin off the surface while exfoliating. It does take a bit of getting used to while using the product, but it is quick and easy once you get the hang of it. Overall, a nice peel, not too powerful or strong, but good enough for light exfoliation.
The Beauty 360 Brown Sugar and Pumpkin Detoxifying Multi-Use Pods ($5.99; cvs.com) is a physical scrub/mask by Beauty 360, available exclusively at CVS. Its a sugar scrub that brightens skin and exfoliates and polishes with the combination of sugar and pumpkin enzymes. The packaging is convenient to use too.
