Arlesienne ($68;usa.loccitane.com) is new for the holidays from L’Occitane. Arlesienne is a gorgeous floral, light, crisp and very feminine. This year’s Arlesienne bottle design is much different from last year’s and so is the fragrance. Arlesienne this year has a tad more of a citrus touch and is softly musky during the dry down. The notes include Saffron, Bergamot, Rose, Violet, White Musk & Sandalwood. The opening is fresh and crispy while the Bergamot lingers as the fragrance settles down, along with Rose and Violet. Musk and Sandalwood kick in during the dry down, adding a certain softness to the fragrance. The bottle design is beautiful - simple, chic and minimalistic. As an EDT it has average longevity and is something I’d wear all through the year! Overall, a nice twist on last year’s Arlesienne, more musky, yet feminine and perfect for anyone who likes rose based fragrances!
