The Velvet Lip Glides ($26; narscosmetics.com) are NARS’ newest launch, a highly saturated, liquid lip color with the most comfortable, hydrating formula. The formula is super smooth, balmy, very pigmented and just overall lovely. I'm not a big fan of very matte liquid lip colors, so these are just my kind of liquid lipsticks. They have a glossy sheen that fades off to a satin finish with wear and the application is super easy too. I tried four shades - Bound, an everyday rose pink and my favorite of the four, Danceteria, a bright fuchsia that I like to sheer down to a pop of pink, No.54, an orangey red that is perfect for a festive lip, and Toy, a deep aubergine that I have been loving this time of the year. I found the formula to be quite opaque, although Toy did need a lithe bit of a touchup because of the deeper tone. Bound and Toy have been on my lip product rotation and I love Danceteria and No.54 for a bright pop. The formula is quite long wearing, staining and very comfortable for something so pigmented. Overall, if you like liquid lip colors, but not the ultra matte look, do give these fabulous ones by NARS a try. They are smooth, long wearing and come in the most gorgeous colors!
