The Fluenta 5 Brush Set ($210; bergdorfgoodman.com) is a luxurious 5 piece brush set from Artis. The Set includes five of their eye/face brushes, a great selection that makes for a fabulous gift. The brushes are super soft, made exclusively with CosmeFibre, a revolutionary engineered fibre made for applying cosmetic and makeup products. The Fluenta 5 piece set also comes packaged in a beautiful, satin lined velvet gift box with magnetic closure!
The brushes in this kit include the Oval 6, Oval 3, Oval 4, Linear 1 and Circle 1. Oval 6 is a mid sized brush that is densely packed, good for blushes, highlighter and powders. Its nice with liquid foundation too, but I’d prefer something a tad bigger in size for that, especially if it gets the job done faster. The Linear 1 is like a thin liner brush with closely packed fibers that are great for eyeliner application and to fill in brow products. Its a lovely brush that I love to use with liners when I want a soft, smudgy line. Circle 1 has a rounded tip, mostly useful for smaller areas of the face and eyes. Artis recommends it for lip colors, I like it more for precise color placement on the crease & inner corners. The Oval 3 and Oval 4 are really nice for eye makeup - Oval 3’s smaller size is perfect for color placement while Oval 4 is more of a blending brush to me. They’re both super soft, don’t feel scratchy which is what I always look for in eye brushes. All of the brushes in the Fluenta 5-piece have gone through multiple washes and have held up well although they take a really long time to dry each and every time. They pick up the right amount of product and deposit color really well. I also love how the handles are a mix of chrome finish and matte black with a good grip to it. Overall, the Fluenta 5 piece is a gorgeous little set, very well made, comes with a nice selection for face and eyes, all packaged in a luxurious box that can be repurposed!
