The Artist Rouge Lipstick ($22; sephora.com) is a new launch from Make Up For Ever - a gorgeous new lipstick range that comes in 45 shades - 31 cremes and 14 velvet mattes. The lipsticks come housed in a chic black tube and the tip is shaped like a tear drop for precise application.
I tried three shades from the creams - C107, a fantastic nude beige that is just a tad lighter than my natural lip color, C108 a medium pinky nude and C211 a mid tone rose pink. I absolutely love the three shades I tried and they fit the nude lipstick category for most medium-dark skin tones. The texture is very creamy and these are full coverage. The formula hugs lips in a nice way and smoothes over lip lines and doesn’t enhance dryness. They also feel comfortably moisturizing and last longer than most cream lipsticks I’ve tried. I din’t need a lip liner, but you could use one so they don’t move around much, but the tip helps get a precise shape. Overall, the new Artist Rouge lipstick is absolutely amazing and definitely worth trying if you like creamy, pigmented lipsticks that don’t feel heavy or cakey and come in fabulous colors ranging from nude pinks to berries, red and bold blues and purples!
