NARS’ new Under Cover Collection is a their new summer 2016 limited edition collection featuring some gorgeous pieces for summer, three of which I’m absolutely loving, with some quick thoughts and swatches.
The Dual Intensity Eyeshadow in Tan Lines ($29; narscosmetics.com), a shimmery chocolate brown. Its a beautiful neutral that looks like a rather satin matte on the lids. The shimmer doesn’t translate much, but if you do love a good neutral brown for a quick wash all over the lids or on the crease, Tan Lines is one to check out.
The Dual Intensity Blush in Sexual Content ($45; narscosmetics.com) is a shimmery peachy plum duo with a beautiful sheen to it. It looks more like a blush-highlight hybrid on my skin tone and imparts a nice glow. The shimmer doest translate much onto the cheeks and doesn't enhance large pores. I love the soft, smooth texture that is easy to work with, especially when used with a floppy brush.
The Lip Cover ($28; narscosmetics.com) is a new formula, an almost whipped consistency liquid lipstick. Overheated is a rosy brown and a nice neutral for medium-dark skin tones. It can enhance dry patches on the lips though, but the coverage is really nice and it feels very lightweight. I got about 5 hours of wear with most of the shine gone after about 3 hours or so. It works well with a lip liner, though doesn’t transfer too much even without one. The formula is great if you like liquid lipsticks and want something light, opaque and comfortable to wear.
