The Extreme Neutrals Eyeshadow Palette ($58; shop.nordstrom.com) is a new neutral palette from Laura Mercier that just launched this Spring. Its a beautiful mix of neutrals and smokey neutrals with colors ranging from earthy browns and beiges to purple plums.
The packaging is very sleek and super travel friendly. There are 12 eyeshadows that come in a mix of shimmer and matte finishes. The mattes feel like satin mattes, while the shimmers are very elegant shimmers that have a nice sheen to it. I can see myself wearing all the shades from this palette - the lighter shades work under the brows or as transition shades, while the darker colors and shimmers work beautifully as lid colors or as liners. The textures are smooth, soft and very blendable. There’s a little fallout from a couple of shades, nothing that is difficult to work with. They do better with a primer underneath and crease minimally that way. The pigmentation is great and pretty consistent through the palette. If you like neutrals in shades of smokey browns, beiges and deeper plums and want a sleek palette that packs a nice variety in different finishes, give the Laura Mercier Extreme Neutrals Eyeshadow Palette a try!
