Elie Saab’s Le Parfum Rose Couture ($80,1.7 oz EDT; $108, 3 oz EDT; shop.nordstrom.com) is the brand's newest composition for spring/summer 2016, a fresher, lighter take on the original Le Parfum. The packaging is very similar, this time in a lovely shade of pastel pink. The notes include Orange Blossom, Rose Petals, Peony, Rose Nectar, Jasmine, Vanilla, Patchouli and Sandalwood. The opening brings out a lot of the Orange Blossom, much like the original Le Parfum. The Peony, Rose and Vanilla kick in beautifully once the fragrance starts to settle down. I love the way the rose and vanilla mix in with the Sandalwood at dry down. Its not a very powdery rose, and is quite subtle, yet potent enough to linger on until the end of the day. The sandalwood makes the base very creamy, soft and sophisticated. Its a fragrance I’d wear all year and is definitely one to check out if you like very feminine, soft florals and rose based fragrances or Elie Saab’s perfumes in general!
