The Eye Contour Eye Shadow Palette ($28; cargocosmetics.com) is a new launch from Cargo Cosmetics, a mostly matte eyeshadow palette with a mix of warm and cool tones in light, medium and dark shades, to contour and highlight. The palette I tried is Warmer Base - 2, which is a mix of nice neutrals that also comes with a shimmer and matte base. I like to use the shimmer base under the brow bone as a highlight. The shadows are very soft, easy to blend and moderately pigmented since they are meant to contour afterall. If you are looking for extremely pigmented to the touch shadows, you may be left a tad disappointed. The lighter colors disappear onto my skin, while the medium and dark tones show up pretty well. They are completely matte, there’s absolutely no shimmer and they work as lid colors too. Overall, a really nice, travel friendly palette especially if you like matte eye shadows and everyday neutrals.
