NYC New York Color’s Smooth Skin BB Creme Instant Matte ($3.99 ; target.com) and BB Perfecting Powders ($3.99 ; target.com) are very affordable makeup ranges, both quite nice for a quick and easy face. The Smooth Skin BB Creme (02 Medium) is a lightweight, matte finish tinted moisturizer with a really nice, whipped consistency. Its a cream to powder finish that dries matte and covers quite a bit, evening out skintone. I did still need a good concealer for problem spots and under the eyes, but for quick coverage, this was easy to blend and work with. The BB Perfecting Powder (Warm Beige) is a pressed powder that goes very well with the BB cream. It is very creamy and extremely natural looking and can be used just over moisturizer with a fluffy brush for a smooth, satin matte finish. I do like the Smooth Skin BB Perfecting Powder a tad more than the BB Cream since it is more natural looking and less powdery looking too. My only qualm with these two products though is that they’re both not too long wearing unless over a primer. A little bit of longevity would have been nice, but they are still nice for the price and the textures are very easy to work with.
