MUA Professional Intense Color Gel Eyeliner ($8; cvs.com) and Brush Cleansing Balm with Goat Milk ($10; cvs.com) are two new launches from Makeup Academy. The Intense Color Gel Eyeliner is a pencil eyeliner that goes on like a gel. The pigmentation on these were good, but I did feel like the color needed to be built up a little to show up intensely on the lash lines. The Brush Cleansing Balm with Goat Milk is great for the price and cleans most makeup brushes very effectively. Its a solid balm and does take a couple of uses for very dirty brushes to get squeaky clean, but it leaves them super soft, both synthetic and natural hair brushes alike. The scent is very mild and lingers on a little on most brushes. It doesn’t leave a residue behind and is super easy to use. For the price, the Goat Milk Brush Cleansing Balm is a great pick and will last a really long time. As for the gel eyeliners, they are nice, but the formula could use a little bit of tweaking, pigmentation wise, but they are very waterproof and don’t budge once set.
