Having missed out on Tom Ford’s Lips and Boys ($35; saksfifthavenue.com) mini lipsticks collection last year, I had to get myself a shade or two this time around when they’ve come back permanently. Cary, is a gorgeous rose creme, same as the shade Casablanca from the full size, which is beautiful on medium to dark skin tones.
The packaging is pretty cute, I love mini lipsticks and the smallish tube isn’t wobbly. Cary turns out more pink looking on my pigmented lips than it does in the tube and I would have liked a little more of a plum tinge in there. It still is a great color though and doesn’t look too light or too dark. I did find the formula a tad drying on me, the creme finish is really nice, but a lip balm underneath makes it less drying. Overall, the mini sizes are a great way to try out a few nice colors from Tom Ford and also a nice way to actually try and finish a lipstick, which never happens with me!
