Philip B White Truffle Ultra Nourishing Moisturizing Shampoo ($54 for 7.4 oz; philipb.com) is a nourishing, moisturizing shampoo for normal to dry hair with a restorative mix of 23.2% pure botanical hydrators: Italian White Truffle Oil, Hops, Nettle, Thyme, Lavender, Horsetail and Burdock. Its a rather thick, heavy and rich shampoo that is more of a luxurious treat for soft hair. The consistency is on the thicker side and while the shampoo doesn’t foam up very much, it still manages to cleanse quite well without stripping hair. With regular use it can make scalp a tad oily and can weigh hair down as well, so I like it more as a weekly treat. If you do plan to use it on a regular basis though, I’d recommend a good clarifying shampoo as a follow up once a week. I did not need a conditioner since the shampoo is quite detangling and smoothening by itself and left my hair easier to manage and style with the need for very less styling product!
