Lancome Hydra Zen Anti Stress Moisturizing Cream ($56; macys.com) is new and part of Lancome’s Hydra Zen Anti-Stress Moisturizing Collection, exclusive to Macy’s. The Hydra Zen Anti-Stress is a hydrating day/night cream targeted at combination to dry skin types.
The texture is quite lovely - very light, almost whipped and manages to sink in super fast. It is quite fragranced, the scent being something I absolutely love, I won’t complain too much, but if you don’t like too much fragrance in your facial skincare, it is one to keep in mind. The heavy glass jar houses quite a good amount of product. I started using this at the end of summer when my skin was slightly less dry and found the texture and consistency perfect. While I do have sensitive skin, I don’t have extreme redness issues, so I can’t comment too much on the calming aspect of the cream, but it does lave skin feeling comfortably soft and quite plump which I quite like. Now that the weather is getting a tad less humid, I need a little more than usual and a serum underneath to maintain the moisture. Overall, its a really nice, simple day moisturizer as long your skin doesn’t lean too dry. I might need something a little more richer in the coming colder months, but I really loved this as part of my late summer skin care routine especially during the day.
