Perricone’s no makeup makeup line’s newest addition is the No Eyeshadow Eyeshadow ($35; sephora.com; press sample), a flesh toned eyeshadow/base that can be used alone or under eyeshadows for a neutral, barely there look. The packaging is similar to other Perricone products - a small glass jar with a sponge tip applicator. The product is not too thick or too runny and has the consistency similar to a liquid foundation. It is sheer and blends to nothing at all on my lids. If you fall into the medium-dark skintone category, this would be better off as a base than as an eyeshadow itself, but on lighter skin tones, I can see it working as a very faint matte neutral that would even out any uneven pigmentation to a certain extent.
I have mostly used this only as an eyeshdow base since it doesn’t do much by itself on my skintone. As a base, it does a good job of holding onto colors and keeping them crease-free for a few hours. It doesn’t help too much with the vibrancy of the shadows though, but provides a very matte canvas for shadows to go on easily and irons out slight creases on my lids subtly. Overall, the formula is okay for a base and the small jar would last you ages. I haven’t worn it much by itself, but I do wish they expand the No Eyeshadow Eyeshadow range to have more neutrals that would work across quite a few skin tones instead of just one universal shade.
