Burberry Beauty Fresh Glow BB Cream ($44; sephora.com) comes with sheer coverage and in three shades - light, medium & dark. Since the shades lean towards the sheer side, I went with Medium 02, which is quite perfect for my skin tone. It comes with an SPF of 20 with mix of physical and chemical sunscreens.
Fresh Glow is described to have a dewy finish, but I found the finish to be more satin like, but not too matte. The consistency is neither too thick, nor thin, but it does feel very moisturizing and easy to blend with fingers. The shade selection isn’t the best, but since it is sheer, I’m sure one of three shades can be adjusted to fit most skin tones and medium has a good balance that doesn’t lean too yellow or pink. I still need a good coverage concealer for my under eyes, blemishes and a powder to up the coverage a little. But the BB cream by itself is really nice to use if you, like me, prefer sheer coverage and very lightweight bases. Compared to my two other go to bases, the Diorskin Nude BB Cream (Medium 03) and the Guerlain Meteorites Baby Glow (4 Dore), I found Burberry's coverage to be far less, still natural looking. The overall result is fresh, slightly evened out skintone which is something I love. If you can find a decent shade match among the three shades Burberry has to offer, this is definitely worth looking into.
Wearing the Burberry Fresh Glow BB Cream in Medium 02 topped off with the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Compact in #5.5; NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Ginger mixed with YSL's Touche Eclat in 5.5. |
