Shiseido’s newest launch, the Veiled Rouge Lipsticks (
$25; sephora.com) are a sheer glossy range of lipsticks that come in eight gorgeous shades, in super sleek packaging. I tried two of eight shades, BE301 (Carrera), a sheer shimmery nude pink and RD302 (Rosalie) , a shimmery, glossy coral pink.

I found both colors easy to wear and formula extremely comfortable. There’s no scent or taste to the product and the texture is smooth with no grittiness from the shimmer. It plumps up lips making them look smoother and healthier. There’s also a good amount of gloss and the lipstick itself feels super light weight and hydrating. Like most sheer lipsticks, I get about 2-3 hours of wear from these and they don’t dry lips out, but a little bit of the shimmer does get left behind. Overall, if you like sheer, lightweight, glossy lipsticks, these are absolutely worth checking out. While BE301 can be a tad difficult to wear on medium/dark skintones without a lip liner, RD302 is quite a universally flattering shade that would look great on anyone!
