A few new beauty picks from the drugstore that I’ve recently tried and loved!
L’Oreal Brow Stylist Plumper Brow Gel Mascara in Medium To Dark ($8.99; ulta.com) - This is a fabulous product for the price and just as good as some other expensive options I’ve tried. The color isn’t too warm for my dark hair and the formula is super easy to use and long wearing. It does make eyebrows a tad crunchy though, but adds a lot of thickness and fills in the gaps in a very natural way.
Burt’s Bees 100% Natural Matte Lip Crayon in Sedona Sands ($9; burtsbees.com) is a very pretty neutral browny pink. Its a lovely formula that doesn’t feel dry and adds a beautiful wash of nude pink to the lips. It is an effortless product that you could just swipe and go.
Rare Amethyst by AVON ($23; avon.com) is a fairly new fragrance from AVON that I quite like as a light spritz this time of the year. It is one of the nicer AVON fragrances I've tried, doesn't feel too watered down, lasts fairly long and doesn’t turn very generic on me after a while. It is a fruity floral with most prominent notes of plum, violet and a hint of sandalwood and musk and the scent doesn’t change very much through the day either.
Pop-arazzi Nail Polishes ($2.99; CVS) in Just Beachin, a pretty blue creme and Short But Sweet, a peachy pink are both great for the price. The formula was very opaque in two coats. The brush is slightly tricky to work with, but the polishes themselves are really nice. The formula is 5-free too.
Lastly, the Rimmel Stay Glossy Lip Glosses ($3.99; ulta.com) from the Swanky Hotel Collection, which is available at select stores. These glosses are non-sticky, sheer and comfortable to wear. The scent is not my favorite, but the formula is really nice for a budget friendly gloss like this one.
