L’Eau d' Issey City Blossom by Issey Miyake ($100; 3.4 fl oz; shop.nordstrom.com) is a new, limited edition fragrance that just launched this spring. City Blossom comes in a special edition, beautiful pink and grey ombre bottle, designed by Parisian Street Artist, Mademoiselle Maurice.
City Blossom is described as a woody floral with notes of Pink Pepper, Citruses, White musk, Calone, Magnolia, Freesia and Osmanthus. City Blossom is quite similar to last year’s summer edition by Issey Miyake, but a bit more fresh and a lot more floral, less aquatic. The opening is very soft, yet fresh - pink pepper, citrus and magnolia are what I get the most. The dry down brings out the musk and the scent doesn’t change very much even as it wears down, staying freshly floral and very feminine. The lasting power is average, I get about 5-6 hours with very faint traces left behind after that. If you liked last year’s L’eau d’Issey Summer, which is another easy floral for Spring and Summer, you would absolutely love City Blossom as well. The bottle design is very pretty and one of my favorites from all the limited edition Issey Miyake releases so far.
