Makeup, Beauty and More: Hakuhodo J5522 Tapered Eye Shadow Brush

Hakuhodo’s J5522 ($20) is a tapered eyeshadow blending brush that is great for blending, applying sheer washes of shadow or even crease work. Its a super soft brush made with natural hair (goat) that washes easily and dries super quickly.

The J5522 is a bit bigger in size when compared to the popular J5523, which is quite similar to the MAC 217. J5523 is also a bit less dense and works amazingly well with powder products. It picks up product really well and blends it seamlessly. I also like to use it with concealers for the under eye area since it feels super soft and blends cream products really well too. Its quite a universal brush if you like the slightly bigger size. The brush splays out considerable after a couple of washes which is something to keep in mind.
