Burberry Aqua Green No.418 Nail Polish (
$22; us.burberry.com), is one of five new nail polishes released as part of Burberry’s Spring 2015, The Birds and the Bees Makeup Collection. Aqua Green is a gorgeous mid tone green with a bit of blue mixed in that makes for a beautiful spring/summer shade.
I had expected the color to lean a little more Turquoise, at least from the promo images, but it sure is more green, less blue, but a flattering green on me. Its not too bright or very pastel-y so the color would work against most skin tones. I found the formula to be great, super easy to work with and fast drying. The brush was as usual tricky, picking up too much polish, I still prefer Dior’s curved brushes for that perfect application especially near the cuticles, but the formula here was quite forgiving, so the polish applied really well. Aqua Green was one color that I most wanted from the Spring collection and I wasn’t too disappointed. I might check out Hydrangea Pink (the pale pink) after seeing more swatches, although I have a feeling it might be similar to Rose Pink from last spring. While I don’t wear greens and blues very often, Aqua Green is a beautiful color to switch up once in a while, especially for Spring and Summer. It also makes for a beautiful pedicure shade.
