Marc Jacobs Enamored Hi-Shine Nail Lacquer in Oui! ($18; sephora.com) was one of my very first nail polishes from the Marc Jacobs Beauty Line. Oui! is a color that I normally wouldn’t pick up by how it looks in the bottle, but it sure does look very unique and beautiful on the nails. I don’t have anything quite like it in my collection.
Oui is a shimmery, metallic magenta with a hint of purple. Its quite a bright color for this time of the year, perfect for summer and even fall, but I don’t care much for all of that if its a color I like. The formula was a little brush stroke filled, but quite opaque in two thin coats. I think the brush stroke is partly because of a wonky brush I got if not for which, the brush and the application should be ok. The bottle design is nice and sleek, but I’ve had difficulty with getting the cap of each and every time I've tried opening it. For the price though, I expected a flawless bottle design and brush, but I’d have to try out more colors to see if its just this bottle or a common problem with all the colors. As for Oui, the color might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I absolutely love it. Its quite glossy on its own, dries reasonably fast and the wore about 2-3 days on me, like most lacquers do.
