L'Occitane's new Shea Whipped collection is a new launch this fall that features three new products with the goodness of shea butter in a deliciously whipped texture, launched just in time for the 20th anniversary of L'Occitane's best selling, shea butter hand cream. L'Occitane has also launched a new Shea Solidarity Soap in honor of World Sight Day. Complete with Braille on the bar, this Apricot-scented $3 soap is a limited edition item whose proceeds benefit NGO’s working to cure preventable blindness.
The Shea Whipped Collection has three hand and body care products and all of them are great for dry skin without feeling heavy or greasy. The whole range has a soft, comforting, nutty fragrance that isn't overpowering - its a scent very similar, but a bit lighter than the regular shea range. I found the Whipped Body Cream ($24) to be very hydrating for my very dry skin and fast absorbing too. The Whipped Hand Cream ($12) too has a similar, whipped, light texture and with a 25% shea content which leaves hands and cuticles feeling greatly nourished. The Whipped Shower Foam ($20) is a gentle, sulfate based cleanser that lathers and cleanses clean without the stretchy feeling. It does have a stronger scent than the other two products though, but not something that lingers around too much. The Shea Solidarity soap smells great and cleanses thoroughly. It makes for a great hand soap too and should last a while. A really nice soap created for a great cause! Overall, the Whipped Shea range is amazing, the body cream in particular is just fabulous, super nourishing with a beautiful, airy, whipped texture that I absolutely love. Last time L'Occitane released a honey whipped range, I bought backups of the body cream and I will be this time too! I hope L'Occitane makes this a permanent addition to their body care line in the future.
All products are available at L'Occitane Boutiques and online at usa.loccitane.com.
