L'Occitane's Divine Anti-Aging line now has a permanent, new addition, the Divine Youth Oil ($96; loccitaneusa.com) for face, neck and décolleté. The oil comes packaged in a gorgeous yellow-gold ombre bottle with a dropper arrangement. The Divine Oil features extracts from a pure blend of seven unique plant oils that add a moisture boost to dry skin.
I love the smooth, silky texture and how easy and quickly it absorbs. I usually take about 2-3 drops for the face and neck, smooth it all over and let the oil sink in. It doesn't feel heavy, silicone-y and does not absolutely leave any kind of film or residue behind. For a richer oil that tends to take care of dryness issues so well, it sinks in remarkably fast and layers well under skincare/makeup without any greasiness. L'Occitane recommends using it as part of a nightly/evening skincare routine since that's when the skin is least exposed to environmental stress, but I've used it both during the day and night with no problems at all. Divine Oil, along with a couple of other serums are on my rotation, and I like how it feels like nothing at all no matter how I use it - alone or layered. Like everything else from the Immortelle line, this one too has a slight floral scent that dissipates pretty quickly, once the oil sinks in. Overall, although on the pricier side, its a fabulous oil with a luxurious, velvety texture that helps skin look radiant, plump and very well rested. A little goes a long way with this one - I've been using it for about a month now and haven't even gotten through 1/4th of the bottle! L'Occitane currently has a promo (linked here) wherein you can sign up to receive a free deluxe trial size of the Divine Youth Oil which is an amazing way to try it out before splurging on a full size.
