Inspired by the boundless spirit of daisies and blue skies, Daisy Dream reflects Marc Jacobs’ irresistible mix of intricate details, elegance, and femininity for a fresh interpretation of the iconic Daisy motif. The fruity-floral fragrance has a light and airy touch, bursting with top notes of blackberry, grapefruit, and pear. The heart notes are introduced with a bouquet of jasmine, lychee, and blue wisteria, and a medley of white woods, musks, and coconut water reveal the base notes.
Marc Jacobs' newest fragrance, Daisy Dream ($76 for 1.7oz; sephora.com) , is a light, fruity floral, that to me, is a really nice one to wear for Spring and Summer. Daisy Dream has notes of Blackberry, Grapefruit, Pear, Jasmine, Lychee, Blue Wisteria, White Woods, Musks and Coconut Water. The blue and white bottle laced in daisies is beautiful and the cap feels weighty and luxurious. Daisy Dream opens up with fresh, sparking notes of Pear, Grapefruit, Lychee and Jasmine. Its not heady, but a bit more floral than fruity, in my opinion. The dry down brings out a touch of powdery musk, quite soft and very light. It definitely is a very youthful scent that would appeal a lot more to a younger audience, yet is wearable enough for anyone looking for a light, daytime fragrance. Daisy Dream wore about 5-ish hours on me and completely faded soon after. Overall, it is a nice fruity-floral for spring/summer that has a soft, airy quality to it. I just wish it lasted a tad longer on me.
