Radical Skincare Instant Revitalizing Mask ($65 ; sephora.com) is an energy-boosting, radiation mask that claims to perk up you complexion, leaving it fresh and glowing. Its something you leave on for about 3-5 minutes and wash off, following up with any serum/moisturizer. It comes packaged in a pump tube - I'm not a fan of this packaging, there's quite a bit of product waste and the mask always foams up on the sides of the pump. But I guess this is the best that can be done as far as masks like these go *Press Sample
I only needed a tiny amount of this mask - just pump a little straight out of the tube and apply a super thin layer, leaving out sensitive areas like under the eyes and around the lips. The first time I used this mask, I let it sit for about 7 minutes and it left parts of my face quite red. I do have pretty sensitive skin and if you, like me, have skin that reacts quickly, do not leave it for more than 3-4 minutes. Even when I did leave it on for about 3-4 minutes, there was a teeny bit of redness around my cheeks, but it went away within a couple of minutes. As for the mask itself, its like a quick fix for dull complexion that brightens and smoothes skin out. My pores looked a bit smaller and my face felt very refreshed - if you have dry skin though, a moisturizer/serum is definitely needed. The mask produces small bubbles and fizzes up a bit on contact with skin - there was a light tingling sensation that went off as soon as I washed it off with cold water. Overall, its a nice mask that works really fast to give a radiance boost, but if you have sensitive skin, use with caution and do not let it sit for more than 3-4 minutes.
