bareMinerals' new BARESKIN Pure Brightening Serum Foundation ($29; bareescentuals.com) is a sheer, lightweight liquid foundation formulated without oils, silicones, fragrances & parabens in a coconut derived base with jojoba coated mineral pigments and vitamin C for brightening. Its available in 20 shades, I was sent Bare Sand, which is just a tad dark on me, but the formula blends really well leaving no streaks behind, especially when used with the Perfecting Face Brush ($28; bareescentuals.com) *Press Samples

The texture is very light, super easy to blend and dries to a semi-matte finish. It does feel moisturizing going on, but if you have dry skin, I would definitely recommend a good moisturizer underneath as it can cling onto dry patches on the face. To use, just shake the bottle, add a few drops to the brush and buff onto skin. bareMinerals recommends 1 to 3 drops for depending upon the coverage level - 1 for a sheer layer and 3 for full coverage. I quite like the finish with 2 drops, but 3 is great too - no heavy feeling or caking up for something that is close to full coverage. The Perfecting Face Brush is fantastic for any liquid foundation - its soft, quite dense and easy to buff product for a seamless finish and coverage. I did set my foundation with some loose powder just on my t-zone, but its not absolutely necessary. The texture of BARESKIN reminds me of liquid foundations like MAC Face and Body/Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, so it would work really well on oily skin types and is a really nice one for summer. Like I said earlier, if you do have dry skin though, a moisturizer underneath would help, but oilier skin types could easily get away without one. Definitely worth trying out if you can find a nice shade match. The brush is absolutely amazing and works with many different textures of foundations and even cream/liquid blush!
