Paul & Joe's Spring '14 Collection features eight fabulous eye color trios - the trios come as refills which can be paired with four adorable little compacts. The trio I have here is "Breakfast in Bed" ($35 for the trio refill; $10 for the compact; b-glowing.com) a warm shimmery mix of gold, a rich brown and a lighter shimmery champagne for a highlight, all housed in an adorable red compact with cute little kittens all over! *Press Sample
Breakfast in Bed is a rather wearable trio - all colors work alone and pair well with each other. They aren't the most pigmented, a little on the sheer side with buildable intensity. The colors also go on much less shimmery than how they look in the pan. Because of the sheerness, these work best when patted on with fingers or just as a light wash when used with a blending brush like a MAC 217. Texture wise, they are quite soft and easy to blend, with a little bit of fallout that is seen with most powder eye shadows, nothing crazy. If you are looking for something that's super pigmented, you might be disappointed, but if lighter washes and subtle neutrals are your thing, Breakfast in Bed by Paul & Joe is a fabulous trio to try out. I would definitely recommend an eye primer underneath as these tend to vanish pretty fast without one. The packaging, to me, is really pretty, super light & easy to travel with. Overall, a tad pricey, but a good one to check out if you, like me, can't get enough of neutral shadows.
Have you checked out any of the Eye Color Trios from Paul & Joe's Spring lineup?
