L'oreal's Infallible Silkissime Eyeliner ($8.99; lorealparisusa.com) is a long-wear, waterproof liner that claims to deliver 16 hours of wear. I tried out Black, which is a rich, deep black with a slight glossy sheen. The texture is smooth, the liner glides on effortlessly - no tugging along the lash or waterline. Black is very pigmented as well - just one stroke deposits rich, pigmented color. If you do like your liner slightly smudged, there's quite a bit of time before it sets, making it super easy to work with. As for it lasting for 16 hrs, I definitely din't quite wear it for that long, but I could see some smearing around the 7 hr mark. Its quite creamy, so if you have oily lids, I'm pretty sure it would last much lesser than that. Also, Silkissime does sting when used on my waterline - within a few minutes, my eyes were itchy and quite watery. On the plus side, it is one of the blackest black eyeliners I've tried and really like the intense color payoff on my lash lines. If you have sensitive eyes, be sure to steer clear of the waterline. That apart, its a good, budget-friendly liner to try!

DeleteThis looks amazing :D I need to pick this up!
ReplyDeleteI hope you like it!
DeleteThese are super creamy and long-wearing, but such a pain to sharpen! I'd buy more if the plastic base wasn't so stubborn- other than that they're awesome. :)
ReplyDeleteI used an old stila sharpener and it worked fine. But yeah, I can imagine how difficult such plastic bases could be sometimes! :(
DeleteThis is such a matte black! It looks like perversion which is now my holy grail black matte eyeliner! That's too bad that your eyes got itchy, that's definitely a nono! I haven't seen this here though! thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeletePerversion stings my eyes too.. guess they are very sensitive. No other UD liner does that though!
Deletereally pigmented and creamy!
