Crabtree & Evelyn Gardener's 60 Second Fix For Hands ( $12.50 - $38 ; crabtreeandevelyn.com) is a 'hand scrub - hand cream' duo that I picked up a while back as part of a travel set. Its an easy fix for when you need to give yourself a mini pamper session and 60 seconds is all you really need - perfect to have while traveling. I love C & E's hand creams and was expecting the scrub would be just as nice. I don't hate it, but I've tried better!
The Gardener's Hand Care range is one of the brand's best sellers and formulated for extra dry hands. The Hand Recovery is a gritty, exfoliating scrub in an oil base. You only need the tiniest amount for hands and cuticles - works in a pinch to soften dry feet too. Its pretty moisturizing by itself, but a hand cream afterwards definitely helps with locking in the softness. I like the consistency and how easy it it to use, but it tends to separate quite a bit just after a couple of uses. And no amount of shaking the tube and trying to mix the product works to get it back to the right consistency. Perhaps, its a product that needs to be packaged in a tub, rather than a tube. The Hand Therapy hand cream is really nice though. Its light, fast absorbing and is a great one to throw into your handbag for daytime use. Both products have a zesty scent that lingers around for a few hours. Overall, I do like the hand cream a little more than the hand scrub - don't think I'd buy the scrub in its full size ever, but the hand cream is definitely worth trying out.
