Marc Jacobs Beauty Lust For Lacquer Lip Vinyl in Kissability ($28) is a sheer gloss, with a light wash of color and a hint of shimmer. The glosses come in two formulas, a sheer coverage with light shimmer and a full coverage with mostly creme finishes. Kissability is a medium, mauve pink with fine gold shimmer.
The Lip Vinyls were one of the few products I wanted to try from the Marc Jacobs Beauty line. The formula seemed easy to work with and the colors, although sheer, were quite pretty. The packaging is okay - a little plasticky looking for my taste, but definitely sleek. Kissability goes on a little more sheer compared to how it looks in the tube - on my lips, the color is a light wash of pink. The shimmer isn't too obvious, but it gets left behind as the color fades. The texture is very thin, non sticky and the gloss does tend to bleed quite a bit. The applicator is quite flexible and deposits color nicely. There's a slightly sweet scent initially and a minty tingle after a while - its not uncomfortable, but lasts quite a while.
Kissability din't have very good wear time on me - I barely got 1.5 - 2 hours after which most of it was gone with just a little bit of shine and a few shimmery bits left behind. The formula is quite hydrating, but I wish it lasted a little longer on me. Overall, its a good gloss, but I've seen better, especially considering the price. The texture is non-sticky, easy to swipe and go and there's no gritty shimmer, but I wasn't extremely impressed with the wear time. Pretty colors though!
